Semiconductor

In the semiconductor industry, where precision, reliability and contamination control are paramount, FFKM materials play a crucial role. We design and manufacture O-ring, seals and gasket for semiconductor industry.

To meet diverse requirements in high-tech environments, we offer sealing solutions that ensure exceptional resistance and superior protection against contamination – ideal for the stringent demands of semiconductor applications.

FFKM materials are known for their exceptional resistance to extreme temperatures, harsh chemicals and aggressive plasma environments, making them ideal for use in critical semiconductor manufacturing processes. From sealing application in semiconductor equipment to wafer handing, FFKM materials offer unmatched performance, ensuring integrity of processes and minimizing downtime due to material failure.

Each seal, gasket and o-ring for semiconductor industry combine these properties with dedicated engineering for these kinds of equipment, where maintaining production continuity is a decisive factor.

Our sealing solutions offer key advantages such as low plasma erosion, high thetmal stability, excellent resistance to both dry and wer chemical processes, and outstanding sealing performance. To ensure product purity and integrity of sensitive components, all FFKM seals are manufactured in ISO 7 clean room environments, then sanitized and packaged under ISO 6 conditions, in full compliance with the most stringent cleanliness standards.

We manufacture sealing solutions for:

  • Lithography machines
  • Wafer handling machines
  • Wafer surface treatment machines
  • Chip process machines
  • Vacuum machines

Each of these applications requires tailor-made sealing components designed and manufactured to maintain efficiency and durability in production lines.

o-ring for semiconductor industry
  • Plasma process

To withstand aggressive plasma conditions, seals need to have high purity, low particle generation and low outgassing to guarantee reliability and long-life.

  • Thermal process

Thermal based applications require high-performance materials to give long term sealing resistance at high temperatures, together with specific chemical resistance.

  • Wet chemical process

Wet chemistry is widely used in the processing of wafers, requiring high resistance to specific chemicals, without contributing to organic or metallic contamination of the stripping or cleaning fluids.

Clean room

State of the art

MCM provide a clean room dedicated to the manufacture of elastomer components for the semiconductor, food & beverage, chemical process and pharma.

In our clean room we manage all the manufacturing process from moulding to packaging, thereby guaranteeing in a controlled environment maximum cleanliness and purity.

Materials

We provide a full range of materials to manufacture gasket, seals and o-ring for semiconductor industry, suitable for different environments, balancing durability and regulatory compliance.

The following materials are the most commonly used for semiconductor applications:

  • FFKM, evolast®

Characterised by a broad service temperature range from -46 °C to 350 °C, evolast® compounds exhibit remarkable resistance to aggressive chemicals, such as acids, organic and inorganic fluids, ketones, esters, solvents, amines, as well as hot water and steam.

  • FKM

Special compounds for explosive decompression (AED/RGD) ensure reliable performance in extreme conditions. Working within temperature ranges from -60 °C to 250 °C, these materials exhibit good physical properties and excellent chemical resistance.

Not limited to the semiconductor industries, our high-performance gaskets, o-rings, and seals are designed to meet the demanding requirements of multiple sectors. From Food and Beverage, Energy, Oil & Gas and Petrochemical, Automotive, Aerospace, Aircraft and Marine, to the Chemical Process Industry, MCM delivers tailored sealing solutions that ensure reliability, compliance, and long-lasting performance in even the most critical applications.
